It soon becomes clear to the group of rebels that they have an even worse enemy. Sephiroth, a genetically engineered soldier thought to be dead, who has returned with only one thing on his mind: total destruction of the world he believes punished him with his very creation. At the time Final Fantasy VII was a huge step forward in terms of visuals and story. Never before had a world been so realized in a video game.

Released for the SNES in 1995. The game follows a group of seven adventurers who must travel through time in order to prevent a global Armageddon. Chrono Trigger's greatest claim to fame has always been that it boasts many possible endings all quite different, based on what decisions you make during the game. At the time no other game had done this with the kind of depth that Chrono Trigger had.
