Alpha Protocol is off to a strong start. Since its launch on May 27 in Australia to June 30, Sega sold 700,000 copies of the espionage RPG.
Iron Man 2, however, was the best selling Sega title between April 1 to June 30 (Q1) with 1,120,000 units. Sega Studios San Francisco developed the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Iron Man 2 and closed down shortly after. The game was also released on Wii, DS, and PSP.
Sega sold most of their games in the US where the publisher moved 1,680,000 games. Sales in Japan lagged with only 270,000 games sold for the quarter. That number should pick up since Hatsune Miku: Project Diva 2 arrived in stores a few days ago.
