It looks as if Valkyria Chronicles has found it’s new home on Sony’s handheld system. According to a source Sega doesn’t feel it necessary to return the game to the PS3 despite the demand of some fans.
From now on a PSP series:Why is it on the PSP?There are 3 titles in the series and 2 are on the PSP. We wanted to mature the series whilst incorporating new elements. Of course, we realise there are users who want it on the PS3. But it has been over 2 years since the original, and we can’t just tweak the game a bit for the PS3 – we think new ideas are required. But we couldn’t call a game like that part of the same series.
Valkyria Chronicles 3 is scheduled to release in January 2011 for the PSP in Japan.
