Kingdom Hearts III News – Finally!

It’s amazing that, in this day and age, pseudo-print media can still be used to dissiminate some information. Okay, so EGMi, the weekly digital version of Electronic Gaming Monthly, isn’t quite print, but it’s close enough. In the latest issue, there was an interview with Kingdom Hearts uber-guru Tetsuya Nomura. Here’s what he had to say regarding the development of Kingdom Hearts III:

“For any sequel of the mainstream storyline of the Kingdom Hearts series, that would be Kingdom Hearts III. But the problem is that the opportunity of developing the sequel is not currently [possible]. The team is busy, I am busy.”
All hope is not lost, however! He goes on to point out:
“I’m thinking about what’s going to be next after Kingdom Hearts II, the future that isKingdom Hearts III. Time has nearly come to [work on] that concept.”
So, there you go, folks. That is definite confirmation that Kingdom Hearts III is in development, even if it is the earlier stages. He goes on to bring out that his goal is to release another full-fledged Kingdom Hearts title for this generation’s consoles, which probably means the PS3 exclusively, but you never can tell these days. Wouldn’t it be something to see a Kingdom Hearts title on the Xbox 360? Fanboys better brace themselves.
