Fable III has taken inspiration from PS3 exclusive, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Lionhead's revealed.
Since the Lionhead three-quel is supposed to move the series more towards action, taking inspiration from Naughty Dog's stunner is probably wise.
But Fable's the kind of game that takes bits and pieces from all over the place, according to senior design director, Josh Atkins:
"This is an amazing industry and we take inspiration from all sorts of games," he told CVG.
"Demon's Souls and Mass Effect 2 were both great titles and we definitely think what decisions they made and why we think they made them."
Beyond RPG's Atkin's said the studio also takes inspiration from games like Peggle and iPhone game We Rule. Quite the melting pot then.
"Drake's was a brilliant game that was an amazing combination of cinema and gameplay," Atkin's continued.
"Peggle is still one of the most satisfying and fun games to play while We Rule has a lot of good ideas on how two players can share experiences between two different 'kingdoms.'"
New combat features for Fable 3 were revealed yesterday along with a fewnew screens showing off sorcery.
