Dragon Age II: 'Framed Narrative' Detailed

Dragon Age II will feature a 'framed narrative' - but what does that mean
According to the preview in the new issue of Play Magazine Dragon Age II begins with a Dwarf named Varric and an Enchantress, Cassandra, discussing the great deeds your character - Hawke - performed on his journey to becoming champion of Kirkwall.
Gamers will play these events as what are, essentially, flashbacks - all bound together as tale told by Varric. But is he telling it like it was, or will he twist the story to his own ends? How do Varric and Cassandra impact the narrative themselves, and will Hawke cross their path?
“The possibilities give Dragon Age II the potential to be BioWare's most complex story to date”
These are the possibilities being hinted by BioWare, giving Dragon Age II the potential to be the developer's most complex branching storyline to date.
