Final Fantasy Creator May Have Made His Last Game

Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the Final Fantasy series, has been making video games for longer than many of you have been drawing breath. He can't make games forever, though.
Blogging on his studio Mistwalker's site, 47 year-old Sakaguchi has said that upcoming Wii role-playing game The Last Story "might be my last work", as he's poured all of his energy into it.
Were it to really be Sakaguchi's last game, it'd a poignant note to bow out on.
Despite a...moderate reception to 2006's Blue Dragon and a largely positive one for 2007's Lost Odyssey, The Gooch just hasn't been the same since he left Square Enix, where he was the driving force behind many of that company's biggest hits, including Final Fantasy VII.
Then again, it may just be a tease. A deep breath after a long, hard project. This is the guy who came up with "Final" Fantasy, after all!
