Players who purchase used copies of White Knight Chronicles 2 may not be able to access the game's online component without forking over extra cash. In order to access the online portion of the game, players will have to input a single-use code included with every copy of White Knight Chronicles 2. Online access is tied to a single PlayStation Network account, so players will need to purchase a second license if they want to play the same copy on separate PSN accounts or if they have purchased a used copy of the game.
While Sony has not yet announced how much these extra licenses will cost, White Knight Chronicles 2 will be released on July 8th in Japan so we should find out before that date.
This is indeed sad to see as I was one of many people who bought the first game used and loved the online. Well I guess well all have to pay the full retail price instead of saving a few extra dollars.
