BioWare: Mass Effect 2’s Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC to Feature "Deeper Character Interaction"

Speaking with X360A at Gamescom this year, BioWare founders, Dr Ray Muzyka and Dr Greg Zeschuk, delved a little deeper into what players should expect with the next piece of Mass Effect 2 DLC, promising “deeper character interaction” and the “opportunity for that reconciliation” with one of Mass Effect 1’s stars.

So what can we really expect?
“Probably like deeper character interaction, that’s one of the things we got back from the fans,” said Zeschuk. “Particularly because she was one of the popular characters in the game and in Mass 2, she was a bit more of a bit player.”

“In fact, if you remember, she was a bit more standoffish, she was kind of mad at you and so this is maybe an opportunity for that reconciliation; spending more time with her and kind of getting back together in some manner of relationship.”

“It was one of the top requests I think from fans,” chimed in Muzyka, “And we also said – this is a clue – that in some cases, you may be wondering what some of the arcs, story elements, that were maybe not finished fully in Mass Effect 1, or in Mass Effect 2 for that matter; is there a possibility that maybe some of those things could be brought to a satisfying conclusion in Mass Effect 3, with and when we announce that product, well, that’s a possibility.”

Who is the Shadow Broker? Can Liara get revenge? Mass Effect 2’s Lair of the Shadow Broker looks set to answer some of those questions and more on September 7th and is all yours for 800 Microsoft Points. Chances are it’ll also pose plenty of new questions as well.
